We're playing this friday at the Cat and Fiddle

If you see this in time, come to see us play at the Cat and Fiddle in Balmain this friday night, 28th Nov 2008.

The band is sounding very good at the moment. We've been in our current lineup for a year or two now, and it's working well.

We have: trumpet, tenor sax, bass, drums, violin, guitar and vocals.

Respectively: Virgil Reality, Steve Foster, Garry Manley, Catherine Smith (on both drums and violin), and my good self.

We sound a bit like the Saints crossed up with the Go-Betweens, throw in a bit of Augie March.

We play all original songs, written by yours truly. I tend to write a lot, and without wanting to sound boastful, my songs are great.

They have been covered by Mick Harvey(Bad Seeds) and James Cruickshank(Cruel Sea). James is a friend, and we have written stuff together as well.

Lately I've been getting pretty good with the arrangement side of things, having worked out how to get Cubase to pump charts out, and having improved my theory to a point where i can read music reasonably well. This has helped get our latest set together, which is sounding great.

We have an album released ("Overcome"), with another one waiting for a bit of money to get it out (should be soon), and to complicate matters, we have started a third. It's a long story...
